Winter wedding styled shoot

A Symphony of Winter’s Day – Styled Shoot

Inspired by an iconic luxury watch brand. This styled shoot combines masculinity and femininity with frosty whites, deep blues and lustrous silvers. Keeping the aesthetic crisp like a winters day, couples can visualise why winter should not be overlooked as a season for their wedding.

The Venue

The grandeur of Rockbeare Manor was the perfect setting for this shoot. Its impeccably kept original features add a neutral backdrop that shows off the detail of the dress, decor and model. All of which were carefully selected to compliment the venue and the season.

This shoot provided the opportunity to share how much beauty a winter wedding can offer. The bare vines of the trees and dimly lit skies add drama that you won’t get on a bright summer’s day.

The Look

In the morning the bride wore a Lady in Bianca satin robe in the bridal suite before putting on her Becci Boos satin shoes and changing into an elegant Nicola Anne Bridal gown. The detachable A-line skirt can be seen shimmering in the low-lying winter sun.

The bridal look was kept opulent with editorial-style makeup and Hollywood waves and accessorized with a bespoke hand-crafted crown and earrings by Claire Austin England.

Into the evening, the hair was re-styled into a modern ponytail and the bride switched into a seductive Hepburn silhouette. The lip was bold and red for a ‘pap’ worthy ‘look’ to go with the iconic Aston Martin DB5 which poses beautifully against the Manor house.

The Style

Perspex and glass décor were predominantly used through the styling to help reflect light and create the appearance of ‘ice’. Whereas silver crystals were used carefully to capture the eye and give the illusion of frost. The flowers were kept white to subtly add detail and balance out the deep blue and lustrous silvers used on the cake and tablescape.

The table was complete with warming candles and a laid menu which was slotted into a pocket napkin and wrapped with a bespoke ribbon design. The ribbon was carefully wrapped to represent luxury packaging and double up as a place name for guests.

The Vibe

In addition to the usual wedding day pictures, I wanted to show couples there is more to the day than just the ceremony and wedding breakfast. The getting ready part is equally as fun as the rest of the day! Allowing time for some pre-wedding ceremony photos will give you some ‘me time’ before you give your guests ‘you time’.  And let’s not forget the ‘us time’ at the end of the night with your dearly beloved Husband (or wedding cake!).
